Billing
Billing for Lapdev Cloud is monthly per organisation. All resources are separated between organisations, including billing.
Billing is calculated by the monthly usage for each organisation. Refer to our pricing page for more details.
Plans
Lapdev Cloud currently have the following plans:
Free: Every organisation has 30 hours free usage every month. No credit card needed.
Pro: If you need more than 30 hours every month, you can upgrade to Pro plan. The 30 hours free usage is included for Pro plan too.
Team: You can sign up Team plan to save a lot for the workspace usages. It's $10.00 per usage bundle per month. And for each usage bundle you'll have 90 hours of 4 Core workspace usage.
Choose Your Plan
You can choose your plan between Free, Pro and Team, at any time of the month.
When you choose a paid plan Pro or Team, you'll be redirected to Stripe billing page to put your card details in. There's no minimum usage and we won't charge your card on upgrade.
At the beginning of next month, we'll calculate the total usage based on the seconds of workspace usage of the last month.
For Pro plan, if your usage wasn't over the free 30 hours, we won't charge you. And we'll only calculate the usage that's over the 30 hours. For example, if you've used 32 hours 20 minutes for a month, we'll charge you for the usage of 2 hours 20 minutes, and the invoice for that month will be (2 X 3600 + 20 X 60) X $0.00005 = $0.42.
For Team plan, we'll charge you for the number of usage bundles and any extra usage. For example, if you've signed up for 1 usage bundle and used 92 hours 20 minutes for a month, the 90 hours is included in your usage bundle, and there will be 2 hours 20 minutes extra usage. The invoice for that month will be 1 X $10.00 + (2 X 3600 + 20 X 60) X $0.00005 = $10.42.
Spending Limit
You can set a spending limit on your organisation so that you don't have an unexpected invoice at the end of the month.
The spending limit is $0 by default when you upgrade your plan, and that means you can't have any usage outside of the 30 hours free usage for Pro plan. So the first thing you might want to do is to increase the spending limit to something you think is reasonable.
For Team plan, the spending limit of $0 means you can't have any usage outside your usage bundles.
If you got an error "you've reached your usage limit" when you try to create or start a workspace, that means you've reached your spending limit. We don't stop any running workspaces though when the spending limit is reached.
Invoice
You can view and download your invoices after you upgrade to the paid plans, and you can find it in the billing section in your dashboard.
Click "View past invoices", and you'll be redirected to Stripe billing portal, where you can mange your payment card, and mange all you past invoices.
